Has anyone being able to test WebEx with the Cisco sandbox ? https://developer.cisco.com/site/tech/communication-collaboration/webex… You can try out the WebEx Web Conferencing APIs by signing up for a host account on our shared development test site using the form below. After successfully registering, you will need the following information in order to fully use the WebEx Web Conferencing APIs. Site URL:   https://apidemoeu.webex.com SiteID:   690319 PartnerID:   g0webx! XML Service URL:   https://apidemoeu.webex.com/WBXService/XMLService There you can request an ID (Desired WebEx Web Conferencing ID) so it should be possible to configure the WebEx Module within Opigno.I went all the way still i can not make it to work, despite the fact I can connect to the apidemoeu web site with the supplied ID&pwd. goto : Opigno/Admin/Web Ex Configuration WebEx Username * : < id requested as Desired WebEx Web Conferencing ID > WebEx Password * : < your pwd> Site ID (SID) * : 690319 Partner ID (PID) * : g0webx! Hi gbailleul Have you updated the module to the last version? rc11? There was a bug when configuring an account with no meetings previously set up. It was fixed with the new module version. Best regards

Hi gbailleul, If you only see that response you probably did not enable curl in your php. Do you have any msg error in your log? "Reports -> recent log messages" related to this? Best regards

The configuration seems to be okay now. 2 problems : - It's seems conference are not available for student whereas it's time and conference has been launched by organizer. - A student could access to course conference configuration without permission to do this Thanks for your help Regards

Hi gbailleul, Regarding the student not beeing able to access the conference after it has been started by the teacher. Did you create the meeting inside opigno? What happens? In node/x/WebEx the student does not see any conference? Or does not see the link? Or can see the link but cannot connect? After the teacher started the meeting he is supposed to be able to join. Please test with the teacher logged in one browser and the student in another. Regarding the second question, i dont understand, if you cant get a student to join a meeting, others student that are not part of the course can? If they can access the node its because probably you have not put the group content visibility as private in the meeting node. If they can edit the meeting it is because his global drupal permission is overwriting the student og group permission.

Webex alternative

"Also i see that you have raised another request to have API enabled, this also is not possible as the account you have opened is a online account and does not support the API's." This is what I've got from Cisco. Looks like standard online account does not have the API. Do you have any plan to support anything beside cisco webex ?

Yes, standard Webex account does not support API. You have to contact Webex support to get an account for XML API. You will get in addition to your user ID and password a SID and a PID.

At the moment we use Webex since it's a very powerful videoconference solution with an affordable cost. Moreover, it's always quite heavy to host a videoconference tool with complex server configurations (ports to be opened, etc.), and Webex is hosted and easy to use.

Of course if you have better ideas, feel free to propose them to us, we are always interested in receiving new ideas.

The main problem is that Webex support says that none of the plans I see on www.webex.com include API. I am not sure how true this is. A good alternative will be http://bigbluebutton.org/. If webex really cannot provide API for normal(not enterprise accounts), I plan to modifu webex module so it supports BBB via its API. bigbluebutton is free and has an easy API....
