Hello
I upload (correctly) a profile photo (it shows in the edit profile itself) but does not appear in the user's profile itself or in other places where the photo is meant to appear.
Clues would be appreciated.

Hi mlap1,
Hi mlap1,
Please go to admin/config/media/image-styles/add and create a new image stile called user_thumbnail.
Something like scale 255 width.
Best regards

Thank you so much. That fixed
Thank you so much. That fixed the problem f the photo in the profile but the photo in the top right-hand corner (near the login/logout area) is still blank. SHould I create another style?

Hi mlapl1,
Hi mlapl1,
That icon is just to tell the user he can click to access his own account. It does not change based on the user profile account.
For that you would have to create a new image style (very small one) and then change the template for it to be as you want.

Cool must try it out
Cool, I must try that out. I was wondering why the custom profile pic doesn't show and the standard image disappeared after upload.
Allthough I noticed while it didn't show for the logged in user under their profile, it was displayed to other people!
I like also to show the user picture in right upper corner as it emphasises that one is logged in and makes that personal connection like we're already used to on many other sites :)
