Platon Color Scheme Doesn't Work

When selecting from the color scheme in a default Opigno installation, the only color in the color scheme that takes effect is the header (AKA Deep blue). All other colors remain as the Platon defaults. How do I fix Platon so that the color scheme works fully?

I have created a new subtheme

I have created a new subtheme, and that subtheme does not have color scheme settings under Appearance > Settings > Subtheme. How do ensure that the color scheme for Platon is available for my sub themes?
