webform freeform donation field?

Good evening all. I have a course registration page that I've built that doesn't require user credentials to access and register. In addition to selecting a course, I'd like to include a field where a user can set an optional donation amount, and have that also registered in the cart. Can someone point me to an example of how to accomplish this?
