Number of columns for opigno - and appearance

Hello Opigno is very new to me and I would like to test it out. Is it possible to easily change the number of columns in Opigno (without touching css or html?) How much variety can one have in terms of the appearance of the front page and other pages too? And how easy is it to make changes without hacking the code itself? Thanks for any help Andrew
