I Instaled Opigno 2.9 with composer. After the installation, I went to the update.php to update the packages. After all, I can't access my OPIGNO. The is an error UNRESOLVED DEPENDENCY - GGROUP Missing in more than 15 modules/services. I looked for a solution because I tried three times and I saw just one solution: No Upgrade Group Module/Pack.... But I think it's not a solution because I think there will be a time when I will need to upgrade it. Please, somebody could help me?

If you installed Opigno from

If you installed Opigno from scratch there is no need to update database. But you should not receive this error in any case. From your description of the issue, we can understand that the module "ggroup" is missing. It seems consequently that something went wrong when installing Opigno with composer. Could you please try to clear composer cache and try to install Opigno again ?

Installed with composer

I installed Opigno with composer and I updated the module with the update option inside the Opigno Reports. I tryied it three times in different servers (all Ubuntu) , but always I have the same problem. Now I didn't update the Group module and I'm working Ok with Opigno....

installing with composer

after you install with composer, are you getting errors when finishing the installation via the browser? or do you finish the installation, and then you are updating modules from the administration dashboard? When you install Opigno with composer, all updates need to be done thru composer. Do not use the dashboard or status reports to update. All Opigno, Core and modules updates need to be done in Composer. Otherwise you can break your website.

UNRESOLVED DEPENDENCY ggroup (Missing)

Hi, I would like to have some help on this : Installed opigno 2.9 with no issues on siteground. Then proceeded to update some modules and i am stuck with the "UNRESOLVED DEPENDENCY ggroup (Missing)" message for practically all modules. I have been at it all weekend and I am at my wits end. Using cpanel before the update i could search "ggroup" and see associated files in this directory public_html/..../profiles/opigno_lms/modules/contrib/group/modules/ggroup . However after running the update the entire folder is gone hence the error message i get. Please help!!!

Hi mkbjunior,

Hi mkbjunior,

The ggroup module comes in a patch to the groups module.
https://www.drupal.org/node/2736233
https://www.drupal.org/files/issues/2018-04-20/2736233-156.patch

So if you simply updated the groups module your missing it.

We always keep up to date with security updates and regularly update the modules in the distribution.
Unless there is a specific reason for a module update and you know exactly why and how, you should update the whole distribution when its availble because we insure the updates work to avoid issues like this. Not only that, if you manually update a module it should be clearly documented because if afterwards you update the whole distribution and it includes an older version of a module you have updated it can cause issues.

Best regards

thanks for the feedback. so

thanks for the feedback. so if I understand you correctly, I should ignore all the module update notices and just update when a new distribution is out (i.e. Opigno 3.0?) Regards,

Hi mkbjunior,

Hi mkbjunior,

Yes, tecnically major release versions normally require a migration proccess. IE 1.x to 2.x

But yes, currently Opigno 2.x is in version 2.9 as you can see here.

https://www.drupal.org/project/opigno_lms  Last update was in December 19th.

We will be releasing version 2.10 in a few days (will include a group module update). Once that is out you should update.

Best regards
