[solved] I cannot see any coures in the training catalogue

Hi, at first I have to say that "opigno" is awesome. However the courses I build don't show up in the "training catalogue". I build the courses as an administrator and check-market the "group visibility" as "public". Even if I log in as a user it won't show up. They only show on the "dashboard" in the "dashboard new content" box but I still can't book them. kind regards casimo

Hi,

Hi, Thanks for your feedback. In the training catalogue are only displayed courses you are not member of, and that you can subscribe. If you are member of a course, it will be displayed in "My courses" area, and therefore hidden from the training catalogue. If you created the courses, you will be automatically member of them, and won't see them in the training catalogue. You should try to login with another user, you should see the courses. Please tell us if you still don't see them with another user.

Hi

Hi axel, after the installation I log in as a administrator and build some courses. Then I log in with a other student account (not a member of the cours). The courses are not displayed in "My courses" and "Training catalogue".

Hi casimo.

Hi casimo. This is a bug. We fixed it, and it will be included in the new release we'll publish by the end of this week (version 1.2). Basically what's happening is that the catalog does not show anything *if the user is not a member of any course*. If you subscribe the student to a course (any course, doesn't matter), the catalog will start to work. But, again, we corrected it on the latest version. I'll publish a comment here once we create the 1.2 release, so you can update to the latest version ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for letting us know.

Hi wadmiraal

Hi wadmiraal, Thanks for the answer. I'm waiting für the next release.

Just updated to 1.2 and this

Just updated to 1.2 and this bug is still appearing. I am logged in as User-1 so maybe that is why but I have nothing listed in the Course Catalog.

Hi jlrobinson2171,

Hi jlrobinson2171, This is not a bug, it is working as expected. In the Course Catalog you only see the courses you are not part of. If you created all the courses with user-1 then user-1 is part of all courses and you should not see any course inside the catalog. Best regards

Ok, now I get it.

Ok, now I get it.

I cannot see any coures in the training catalogue

I just download the latest Opigno and install it, I create my 1st class and my 1st course. Then I log out from administrator account and test my new installation by registering as a new users, after receive confirmation email and setting new password. I log in but cannot see any class nor course on training catalog. I have set Class and course available for public.

Hi blacklightning,

Hi blacklightning, Under the training catalog you only see the classes/courses that you are not part of. Best regards
jlrobinson2171

But based on what

But based on what backlighting said, he registered as a new user so no courses have been assigned and the new user still didn't see anything under course catalog.
jlrobinson2171

Thinking about this a little

Thinking about this a little bit, would it make more sense to make the Course Catalog show everything and the courses you are subscribed to get a tag that says "Subscribed" and the other courses have a button labeled "Subscribe" or "Purchase" next to them with a mechanism to sort between classes you are a member of and classes you are not?

Thank you:

Thank you: @James A, for the fast respond/replay,but as I said and jlrobinson2171 mention I created a new user and havent assign to any class or course. Thanks @jlrobinson2171, thank you. And I agree with you. Users should be able to see the entire list of course catalog and able to see which course or classes they already subcribe/enrolland which one they can buy/subcribe/enroll.

Hi blacklightning,

Hi blacklightning, If you set the course/class visibility as public, and the users and not seeing it under the catalogue, the problem may rely in some permission that you have made. Can you check please? Because i have tested on a clean install and it works fine. jlrobinson2171, are you having the same problem.? Best regards
jlrobinson2171

I don't think so, I'd have to

I don't think so, I'd have to create a fresh user and see if I do.
jlrobinson2171

Ok, just created a fresh user

Ok, just created a fresh user and when I go to course catalog I can see available courses.
blacklightning

no permission set

I havent set any permission yet. I will try fresh new installation of opigno, and see if problem solved. I will report back in couple of days.
