[solved] Configuring Commerce

I was playing around with Commerce this morning and added a course to my cart and tried going through the checkout but there was no where to add a credit card or anything. So I am assuming I am missing something and I can't find anything in the documentation. Can you lead me in the right direction?

Hi jlrobinson2171,

Hi jlrobinson2171, Sure, no problem. You can just download the payment method type that you want. For example paypal. https://drupal.org/project/commerce_paypal. Just activate the module. Afterwards just go to Store -> configuration -> payment types. There are more than 150 payment type modules. Im sure you will find the one that you want. http://www.drupalcommerce.org/extensions/module/payment Best regards

Thanks James,

Thanks James, I ended up figuring it out and was about to post here to let you know. Have you guys thought about bundling some of those with Opigno Commerce and give us the option of enabling them? I have another question related to Commerce but not sure if you guys could help. I have an idea of selling documents that I have written and what I would like is to setup a View that displays the title and a short summary and if they click the Read More link they get maybe a paragraph preview and would have to purchase it to get the whole thing. I know how to create the view, just not how to do the paragraph preview and then give them the full after payment. Any ideas or is this way outside the scope of Opigno?

Hi jlrobinson2171,

Hi jlrobinson2171, We thought of this before (shipping with some payment methods), but we decided to not ship with any of them, because it is something that will vary widely. Ultimately we thing it is better to not bloat the distribution with modules, also it would be impossible to cater for all use cases. Regarding your idea of selling documents, this is something that at the moment we consider to be outside the scope of Opigno. Anyhow is clearly something doable and i encourage you to search online for Drupal commerce and check if there is already something developed for this purpose. Also we could develop a custom solution for you. Best regards

I figured it was outside the scope and that is fine. I'm sure with the help of Google I will find something.

Just wanted to post this if

Just wanted to post this if anyone else was looking to do this. Watch this video: http://www.drupalcommerce.org/videos/tutorials/selling-pernode-access-drupal-commerce And download Content Access Module and ACL Module. There are some other tweaks but not too difficult to figure out.
