private folder

Hello I am trying to install Opigno 2.6. After choosing the language on the first page, I get this message on the second page (verify requirements): Private Files System Private file system path not set Your uploaded files are not fully protected because you did not set a Private File Directory. You need to set an existing local file system path for storing private files. It should be writable by Drupal and not accessible over the web. This must be changed in settings.php. More info: https://opigno.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OUM20/pages/743636993/Enable+p… I have read the doc and created both the PRIVATE folder and the link in the SETTINGS.PHP file, but I still get the same message. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Thx Bruno

Hello

Hello

Did you give write permission to web user (www-data if you are using Debian/Ubuntu) for this folder ?

How did you add the link in settings.php ?

private folder

Hello Axel Thank you for your message. I am using a shared server. I have only access to the httpdocs folder, so this is where I created a "private" folder with 755 permissions. I added: $settings['file_private_path'] = 'private'; to my settings.php file. However, I still get the "Private file system path not set" message. Bruno
