Navigational main menu with submenues.

Hello Opigno forum, It's about the characteristic opigno main navigation menu with the big icons on the left. I would like to make sub-menues for it depending on what you click on it. As an example I would like a mathematics course button on the main navigation menu to lead to the same type of sub-menu with only mathematics related icons. I tried to make a new menu and connect it to the main navigation menu through path in edit menu link but I only receive an error message telling me the path name is invalid when I do it. Is there any way to make a navigational main menu in Opigno with sub-menues without making a lot of change in the code?

Hi

Hi

Why don't you simply go to Structure -> Menus -> Main menu, and add new items to the main menu?

Is there something else I'm missing?

Adding a menu just add a new

Adding a menu just add a new (uglish) menu under the main menu. Another way to explain my goal. I wish that upon clicking on one of the icons of the menu, a new page (or block) appear, with it's very own (sub)menu on the same style as the main menu.

Hi

Hi

In this case the best would be to create a subtheme, and display the submenu like you want.

So if I understand correctly

So if I understand correctly I should set up a subtheme so I can make the changes in the code related to the menu without fear of messing up the main installation? That would be nice (and wise) but I'm afraid this is beyond my field of expertise , I'm not much of a coder beyond changing a few parameters in the style.css file. I'll try to find a less radical way of setting up the site. I still think that the possibility of expending the characteristic opigno menu through the settings would be a nice addition to functionality of the theme in some future updates... Thank you for your help Axel and have a good weekend.
