Hello everyone,
I am trying to setup up a multilingual site (French + English), but it looks to me like the main menu, in admin/structure is not localized. The Title used there will be used as-is.
Is there any way to make it respond to the user's language ?
Thanks!
Hi mrhightech,
Hi mrhightech,
You should be able to translate it just by going to admin/config/regional/translate/translate and doing the translation as interface translation.
There are ofc other ways of translating the menu but that should be enough if the items you want to display are the same for english and french.

I'll try it out. Thanks for
Not working
Any suggestions?
Hi mrhightech,
Hi mrhightech,
Please do the folowing.
Go to the modules page and enable the menu translation module. Then go to the menu edition page admin/structure/menu/manage/main-menu/edit and select the second option of the translation settings and save.
Then go to the listing page admin/structure/menu/manage/main-menu and translate the items. If they are still not beeing translated, edit the menu item and save it without doing any change. After that translate it.
Best regards
We're progressing!
Hi mrhightech,
Hi mrhightech,
Did you select the second opiton in the translation settings at admin/structure/menu/manage/main-menu/edit and clicked save?
Also check that the link does not start with the language code ex: fr/admin/structure/menu/item/xxxx/translate. If it is try removing it.
Best regards
yes I did
Try clearing the cache.
Try clearing the cache.
Aslo try editing the menu item you want to translate and click on save without changing anything before clicking on translate.
