Lesson "Questions"

Good Morning Opigno! I have recently been creating lessons with many informational slides however then are not 'questions' as such. when opening a lesson from a course its confusing as the lesson will say '20 questions' when in fact this is not true as the course has 0 questions. is they are way to alter this text so it will say zero questions unless the slides are of the question variety? Thank you as always for the support! Toma

"questions"

This is a very valid point. It will confuse students as much as it does us. To compound the confusion information slides are still scored by opigno. Another point is that when you open a course there is a "Start" button. Rather than taking you to the front page of the first lesson it dives straight into the questions. When you finish the questions a button appears saying "To next lesson". Again this goes straight to the questions for the next lesson. Content creators have put a lot of content on the lesson pages which introduce the presentation questions but a student could easily entirely miss those pages using the quick navigation buttons. We could leave the lesson pages blank and make the first question an introductory slide but that would not flow as nicely. It would be nice to be able to disable those buttons or for the buttons to navigate to the lesson not the questions. Regards

Hi Toma,

Hi Toma,

Thanks for your feedback, I perfectly understand your point.

This is not directly manageable in the settings of Opigno.

Of course it would be possible to alter the code in order to either consider only the (non-slides) questions, or change the wording (to have a different word than "questions", for example "steps").

Only counting the non-slide questions could be confusing since purely theoretical lessons would display "0 questions", some students may think it's empty.

Or we may display "x slides / y questions".

Let us know what you think, we are always very interested by any feedback and improvement suggestion.

Best regards

why start lesson button directly lead to the question?

Hi nycups,

Hi nycups,

We made the decision of doing this change because we got feedback from most of our clients that there were to many clicks envolved.

It should be pretty simple to just change the link code from node/x/take to just node/x

Best regards
