Hi there, can anyone suggest a step by step guide to get this up and running on a fresh install of ubuntu or centos, I am an instructional designer with a small amount of server admin experience, and would like to use this for a project I am involved in. I can't seem to find anything of value in the manual, or on the web.

Hello The installation is

Hello The installation is very similar to a Drupal installation You can find some resources here: https://www.drupal.org/docs/7/install You also have a lot of additional resources on the internet, Youtube, etc... In case you don't want to go through these technical steps, you can also have a look at our cloud offers: https://www.opigno.org/en/professional-services/cloud-hosting Best regards,

Hi, it seems all of those

Hi, it seems all of those things dont work very well, because of versions being outdated etc, I have tried with a Centos box from a youtube video, did not work, trying now with a Ubuntut install, and the PHP versions are out of date etc. I cant use a hosted version as this needs to sit on an intranet. thanks

What version of PHP are you

What version of PHP are you using ?

If you look at the Drupal website (link I mentioned) this is definitely the official instructions and they are valid.

Im have followed this guide,

Im have followed this guide, but as I get to the PHP bit, I get not valid errors https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-opigno-on-debian-7-with-git-and-drush so for the Drupal site, I should use that guide to set up the Lamp, and then switch over to the opigno manual for that install?

I got it to start up in mamp,

I got it to start up in mamp, but now with this error The minimum memory requirement for Opigno installation is 256M, you only have 128. Please change the memory_limit in your php.ini settings file or using ini_set in the settings.php file before continuing

This is not an error !

This is not an error !

Just a message that indicates that your configuration is not in line with the requirements and that also indicates what to do !

You should not install Drupal

You should not install Drupal, just Opigno LMS

if you use Opigno LMS distribution the install process is very straightforward

I tried to edit that file in php.ini ( do I have to do it for all of them?) there are dozens of versions. still has the same error. I changed it to 512mb

I cant find the settings.php file

( where, in mamp, or opigno,?). if someone could explain this, id happily make a video with voiceover etc. it seems like documentation is hit and miss here.

Once again this is a basic

Once again this is a basic install process, entirely the same as for any Drupal install, all the errors you report mean that your server is not properly configured yet, even the access to the database doesn't seem to be properly entered.

Even if it's a basic operation, it requires a minimum understanding of server infrastructure, database, web server, Apache, PHP, how they work together, etc... If you do not have this knowledge you will have either to follow tutorials first or ask someone to install Opigno for you.

If you do not want to use a cloud instance and look for technical support to have Opigno installed on your server, you can have a look at our professional services: https://www.opigno.org/en/professional-services/professional-support

Ubuntu 16.04 + Learning Locker + PHP7 + mariadb + nginx

I am also in the middle of trying to get Opigno fully working in combination with Learning Locker as LRS since it's free (open source) but only runs on Linux, hence setting up Opigno on the same VM web server with Ubuntu 16.04. I managed to get LL working - took quite some time + trial and error, their current install script runs quiet smooth and they give superb support via their community chat! (Would be awesome to have this for Opigno, even if just on a best effort basis, which could help the adoption hugely). I used this guide which is for Drupal 8.1 + PHP7 + mariadb + nginx as the webserver (preferred for LL in combo with mongodb) https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial/how-to-install-drupal-with-nginx-and-ssl-on-ubuntu/#step-generate-a-selfsigned-ssl-certificate but in the end the https (ssl) config didn't properly work as I kept being re-directed to "https://site_url" and couldn't figure this out yet (thus temporarily disabled it, wondering if SSL should work fine for both LL and Opigno? ) **What would be helpful to know is if there are any preferences for the current setup for Opigno?** **Should the combo currently of Ubuntu 16.04 + Learning Locker + SSL + PHP7 + mardiadb + nginx work fine?** I managed to run the Opigno installer fine (by adjusting the pre-requisites that came up ie. memory settings) now I am testing it with a course containing lessons using one quiz with a SCORM 2004 -4 module and one with a xAPI - tin can module (both from articulate rise) but unfortunately running into issues. Posted my issues here: https://www.opigno.org/en/forum/support/new-install-ubuntu-1604-nginx-issues-loading-scorm-2004-tin-can-modules
