Importing Questions

Is there any other way to import questions into a lesson other than the Quiz import? I have tried everything with my excel but it keeps saying there is an error. It says: Error The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later. I am not sure what is wrong with the excel file. Any ideas. I can send it to you if you want to have a look.
