Hello, how would I go about adding a button or a notification to redirect students to the course page to get their certificate when they have completed the quiz. It isn't obvious straight away where to go once they have finished a quiz.

It would not be very straight-forward to add this button in the current interface.
Maybe the next release, that will introduce a new course interface with a better user experience, will solve your problem or at least make it easier to add a button like you describe.
