Add more content types to a course?

Is it possible to add more content types to a course? In another one of my websites I have created custom content types (with a number of various fields) for writing essays, as well as for other users. Is there some way to add them to a course (without my having to write code (which I don't do))?   Best Wishes,Stephen

You mean a new tool? A new block at the botom of the course front page?

It is possible without any code, adding the course reference to the content type. But it wont show up as a block on the course front page. (without writing a bit of code).
